November
07 through January 28, 2008 - Colombia, S. America. Colombia
Noviembre 11, a Enero 28, 2008.
Tambien,
Another
awesome testimony is the movie "Facing the
Giants" We asked Stephanie
(16 yrs old our volunteer) to donate movies with
a message. Among the movies she picked this one.
To be honest, I didn't even want to see it, but
I did in Colombia and it made me cry, I felt from
God to lend it to a local pastors wife, and she
told me "I had been praying to have this movie"
we began to show the movies with the borrowed laptop
that I took, to many groups of people, including
youth and 3 local churches and a drug rehap center.
Below is the picture of the pastor and the wife
I felt led to give it too.

08' Santo Domingo,
Viaje
a Rep.
nosotros. Nunca me he sentido tan triste y con
::: VIDEO :::

We arrived not knowing Hurricane Noel would meet us there. I am personally thankful we did travel while a hurricane hit. To live this experience here was an eye opener and ignited my passion once again to give up as much as I can to work much harder to be able to travel f/t & posibly stay months in these countries. I hope you consider helping us monthly. Friends, to live this, to actually see that 90% of this country is poor and does not have the resources we have in the US, hit me hard. Bathrooms here are dug 15 feet underground, as waters rose to more the 6 feet, bacteria hit. Water is not available and the bridges that connect the capital - Santo Domingo, were destroyed by the rivers. Food, gasoline, water, could not reach the entire country because of this. over 25,000 homes were destroyed. Again, if you were to arrive by plane, you would notice the thousands of Tin Roofs even in the capital. We were practically stuck in Santo Domingo and couldn't do much. Taxi service, transportation was not available. |
