I met Liony a few years ago when he was a student of mine in a small Bible School in New York City. Even then, he possessed a rare talent for creative writing, the ability to bring the Christian message alive through his words. Since then, he has continued to portray his beliefs through love in action. As the projects manager for Latin America with Food for the Poor, he supervices projects in Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. He words with the miinstry's orphanage child sponsorship program, Angels of Hope, and as an associate missionary brings the visions of Food for the poor to churches in the United States. This book of inspiring devotionals is a reflection of his life; of knowing and loving Christ and His people. Being a Christian is not solely being concerned with times of prayer and medication with our Savior; nor is it just aobut working to establishing His Kingdom of love on earth. Liony's devotionals offer a wonderful balance of the meditative life with daily practical living, an opportunity to take in the fullness of life in Jesus Christ has offered to each of us. I am honored to be a small part of this work.

..."Dad, I need your help!" When my daughter Lionetti realized her report was due and she needed help, she immediately called me. I was thirty miles away and busy with other things but it was not enough to keep me from coming out to her rescue. I dropped everything else because I knew she needed me. A father is a father when a father is needed most! Contrary to what some people believe, God is never so busy with other things that He cannot stretch out His arm to seave us. The noises of other things do not dull

If you are in need in some type of rescue today, Beloved, know that God stands ready to answer the call through Christ's involvement in your life. He will drop everything else to come to your aid. Remember what Jesus said: "I will never leave you, nor forsake you"
