Colombia in Boyaca.

We exist because
we feel our call in life is to help those outside,
for now, we have begun in Dominican Republic just
15 mins from the Haitian border. In Elias Piña
and in Central Colombia, the town of Tunja &
Saboya. In both of these countries the mission is
to reach children. By reaching there parents, single
mothers. Educating them with the Good News of Christ,
feeding, clothing. 2-
What sets us apart?
This is personal, everyone from the founder, directors,
volunteers, board, have traveled on missions trips
to the projects we have begun and many of our team
members know what it is to suffer.. 3- What have we done? Since Aug. 05' we have taken over 2,400lbs of clothing, shoes, hygiene. Donations have been delivered personally to each child individually. Taking pictures of them receiving the gifts from donors. They know us, because we have consentrated our work one town at the time. In our 1st trip, in Aug. 05' we lobbied to built 2 homes and a church. In June 06' we built a school sponsored by BNF Church of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. a home for a poor family and a childrens center that will reach over 450 children to end hunger, parasites, and clothed. The ultimate goal was to built a day orphanage and eventually an overnight orphanage. A childrens center that would meet the most important needs of a child. 4- How can you help? - visit the wish list page here. 5-
What are we doing? -
We
deliver clothing, shoes, soap to children in Dominican
Republic and Colombia. In Dominican Republic (our
1st project) is a Children's/Family Center. That
feeds, clothes and educates the love of God. Read
more about this property here
see pics also. 6- How? We serve, trying to show the love of Christ. We reach out to fathers who are in prisons, drug rehap centers, drug addicts in the street, single mom's, youth, children and families. By doing this, we can make a lasting transformation in childrens lives by reaching those that are the most influencial in there lives, their parents. This is how poverty, neglect & abuse can end in the life of a child. 7- How do we do that? We have visited one of the most dangerous prisons in Colombia. The fathers (men) have been impacted by our visit. We have visited Antioquia Drug rehab center in Tunja, Colombia. We have cooked for them, served them, played educational videos, preached, etc. Given out materials to single moms. For example, we took the movie "Facing the Giants" and we played it to hundreds, in youth groups, churches, homes with our laptop, because many don't have a dvd or tv. Worship music to bring hope, peace to so many that don't have that. We left the movies and music behind so churches, groups can continue to reach others when we leave. ______________________________________________________ Comments from donors & Visitors; May 2008 - Paula, like many who help us, has never met us, she just found the web site, and felt led to assist. Its one of our great testimonies, strangers who arrive to help us help the poor. "Several
years ago I was led to Jorge and the Nazarite Children's
Mission by a genuine request of my youngest daughter
for a baby brother for Christmas. Our family started
then to donate to a baby Daniel who was on the nchild
web page. This was my way of fulfilling my daughter's
request. We have, since then, developed a cherished
bond of both affection and concern for not just
Daniel, but also his family and all of the other
children whom the mission is working to help. I
admire Jorge and his small staff for their continued
determination to make a difference in these people's
lives. In the three years that we've been involved,
the mission has made incredible strides! This shows
that just a few people can make a difference. I
believe that we all have images of grandeur in wanting
to make a huge impact on the world, yet seeing a
photo of a young Dominican girl in a dress that
we sent, or Daniel's family standing in front of
curtains that they'd asked us for, mak es me realize
that every little act of kindness and generosity
make big impacts on others. The joy that I get every
time Jorge sends me a photo of someone receiving
gifts from us is worth millions in comparison to
what I gave. This assures me thathowever small one's
gift might be, it's valuable and needed. Every little
thing we do is an opportunity to improve lives of
those not as fortunate as ourselves. Were many more
like myself who may not have a lot to give all put
in a little, we can create large miracles!! Jorge
and his staff make sure his donors see the results
of their help! Please help us in our efforts, and
he will surely show you that it was worth it! April
